Position Overview: A leading OEM client in Houston is actively seeking a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of engineering projects, ensuring they meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee all phases of project lifecycle, from initial concept through final implementation. Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Design and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop new products and systems. Ensure designs meet technical specifications and industry standards.
  • Technical Support: Provide engineering support to manufacturing and production teams. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance processes. Conduct tests and inspections to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Documentation: Prepare detailed project documentation, including technical reports, design specifications, and user manuals. Maintain accurate records of project progress and changes.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and ensuring their satisfaction with project outcomes. Conduct regular meetings and provide status updates.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards. Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in project engineering, preferably within the OEM industry.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and engineering design tools.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
