Medical Assistant

We are a Podiatry Medical Practice seeking an experienced Medical Assistant. Must provide attentive service to patients in-person and over the phone. A Medical Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the practice. MA will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, communication, and complete all tasks in a timely manner.

Compensation: Based on Experience

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist Providers

  • Check patients in and out

  • Measure and record vital and HPI

  • Record and update medical history

  • Perform X-rays

  • Data entry-Must be detail oriented

  • Schedule surgeries

  • Clean exam rooms

  • Stock rooms

  • Inventory/Order supplies

  • Maintain all logs

  • Prepare instruments in room

  • Sterilize instruments

  • E-prescribe

  • Assist front office

  • Answer phone calls

  • Schedule appointments

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred

  • Bilingual preferred

  • Good verbal and written communication

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a medical office setting preferred

  • Knowledge of EMRs

  • Computer Proficiency skills

  • Organization and time management

  • Multi-Task

  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Be able to prioritize workload and tasks

  • Must be flexible with work schedule
