Job Title: Quality Engineer Job Description Entry Level - We are seeking a Mass Production Parts Quality Engineer, with one position for Weld suppliers and another for plastics suppliers. This role involves leading in-depth analysis of quality problems, including parts measurements, to take action that will minimize impact to downstream customers (Manufacturing Departments). Responsibilities Lead in-depth analysis of quality problems, including parts measurements, to minimize impact to downstream customers. Prepare and submit technical documents to communicate quality problems with suppliers using the NARS Honda Trouble Report system (HTR’s), and present details to initiate countermeasure action. Set technical requirements for supplier part change points using the NA Change Point Control System (CPCS) and evaluate quality documents before management review. Lead complex problem-solving analyses and investigations. Lead supplier Quality Assurance Visits (QAVs) to communicate concerns and confirm countermeasures are implemented to eliminate non-conforming conditions. Mentor new associates within the group on problem solving, procedures, and Parts Quality role and responsibilities. Perform judgment, disposition, and handling functions for non-conforming part problems. Judge part quality received from suppliers. Effectively solve quality problems using PDCA. Approve supplier countermeasures and supplier change points before production usage. Essential Skills Quality engineering RCCA Root cause analysis Quality assurance Automotive manufacturing TS16949 PFMEA Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Minimum 2 years of quality engineering experience Proficiency in Quality Tools: Fishbone, 8D, 5WHY, RCCA CMM experience is a plus Understanding of welding processes OR plastic injection molding Work Environment This role is based in an OEM Automotive Assembly Plant - Power Sports.
