Perform minor electrical, plumbing and carpentry repairs. Perform general painting job duties Maintain heating and air conditioning units to the best of his/her ability. Communicate with the Maintenance Coordinator as to all minor and major repair needs of the facilities. Care for and maintain all equipment purchased by the agency to be used by the Maintenance Department. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education: Minimum of High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.) Experience: A minimum of six months related general maintenance experience with appropriate skills necessary to perform electrical, plumbing and carpentry work, ability to paint, care for grounds and perform other related maintenance tasks. Physical Demands Must be able to bend and stoop. Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or manipulate, or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and to talk or hear. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. During your tenure with WestCare there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that WestCare may have to comply with.
