Role Scope: Seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a non-invasive cardiology practice. This role will involve seeing patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Responsibilities:
- Work under established guidelines to assess, triage, and diagnose cardiac pathology
- Perform inpatient consultations and outpatient clinic duties
- Collaborate with supervising physician to facilitate consultations, rounding, and progress notes
- Conduct follow-up visits, stress testing, and therapeutic care
- Educate patients and families on care plans and resources
- Participate in ongoing education of cardiology team members
Qualifications:
- Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
- APRN (Family, Pediatric, Adult/Geri Nurse Practitioner) or PA training
- At least two years of post-graduate experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (preferred but not required)
