What you'll do:

The Brass Tacks
  • Leads hosts employed in the Food and Beverage Department. This includes scheduling, training, motivating employees daily
  • Assist Food and Beverage Managers managing reservations and floor plans, especially for holidays.
  • Facilitates sales/customer service/operations interface daily
  • Supervises division activities, overseeing daily operations of all host activities in F&B outlets
  • Ensures profitability, efficient operations and adherence to established safety and quality standards daily
  • Inventories supplies, menus, paper, message pad etc.
  • Responds to internal and external inquiries and complaints and maintains favorable team member and guest relations as needed
  • Deals with guests' challenges and communicates all issues with Director of Food and Beverage and Food and Beverage Managers
  • Assures that we exceed guest expectations by being responsive, engaged and following-through on all requests
  • Represents organization as point of contact ensuring guests' needs are met and expectations exceeded
  • Ensures a safe work environment, reporting unsafe conditions and equipment that need repair immediately and that the work area is in order and clean at all times
  • You will consistently promote and live the values of Columbia Hospitality - Honesty, Inclusion, Respect, Creativity, Enthusiasm and Accountability
The Nitty Gritty
  • Two to four years related experience and/or training
  • Computer knowledge including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Squirrel POS is preferable
  • Must be flexible and able to perform multiple tasks and work in stressful situations
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and go up and down stairs throughout the shift
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs at shoulder height.
  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, overhead reaching, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently; and squeezing occasionally
