Empowering Lives. Restoring Families. Responsibilities Essential Duties: Attend to new admissions, medical clearances, and assess for medical stability. Clarify any urgent medical issues with nursing. Assess and treat clients' medical conditions in need of medical care and treatment. Timely completion of documentation (may include assessments, treatment plans, progress and group notes, discharge summary) according to established standards. Work closely with other members of the treatment team. Attend and participate in required staff meetings and trainings. Share in the on-call duty responsibilities. Facilitate and assist with the infection prevention and control program throughout the facility. Implement the program by formulating, establishing, and evaluating policies and procedures relating to client care infection. Maintains excellent communications with other members of the clinical team, outpatient providers, and family members. If required by state law, performs services within a supervisory or collaborative environment, including maintaining requirements of Physician Supervision Agreements or Physician Collaboration Agreements. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Master's Degree in nursing from an accredited institution is required. Licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the state in which you are applying to provide services. Current DEA license. Minimum two (2) years of experience working with adolescents or young adults, as applicable, is required. Experience working with clients in a residential or psychiatric treatment environment preferred. Newport Healthcare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
