We're looking for a registered dental hygienist to join our growing team You’ll complete initial patient screenings, conduct dental cleanings, and assist dentists with examinations and procedures. If you love helping people and want to work alongside a group of experienced dental professionals, start your application today Responsibilities: • Identify dental issues such as periodontitis, gingivitis, or cavities so they can be treated as soon as possible • Document patient visits and keep health records current • Educate patients of all ages on how to take care of their teeth through good flossing and brushing twice daily • Create dental impressions of patients’ teeth so veneers, mouthguards, etc. can be made correctly • Talk to patients and make sure they feel comfortable and taken care of before, during, and after the examination • Talk with patients to make sure they are comfortable and have all their questions answered • Help to identify dental issues such as periodontitis, gingivitis, or cavities so they can be treated as soon as possible • Give guidance to patients about how to have good dental care at home • Prevent tooth decay and periodontal disease by providing a thorough dental cleaning and applying protective sealants, fluoride, and Arestin as needed • Conduct initial screenings of patients to understand their oral health history • Make radiographs of the patient’s teeth • Instruct patients on how to care for their teeth on a regular basis • Treatment plan patients' period treatment with the dentist • Update patient’s health history periodically and document clinical notes from appointments • Clean and sterilize dental instruments Qualifications: • Possesses a state license to practice dental hygiene • Able to stand up for long periods of time to administer dental exams and procedures • Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and customer service skills • 1+ years of experience in dental hygiene work • Associate’s degree and certification in dental hygiene program required, higher levels of education are highly valued • 5+ years experience as a dental hygienist • Must be a positive self-starter who works well with others and loves what they do Compensation: $50 - $60 hourly and $1,000 sign on bonus
