Job Description

Vertiv is hiring a Master Planner in Lincoln, NE who will be responsible for developing and distributing the master production plan, supervising the development and maintenance of the production programs to maximize productivity and compliance with the Customers' requirements. Optimizing production efficiencies and inventory investment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation of the master production plan (MPS) based on the production plan presented in the SIOP. Report in a timely manner any problem that may arise to fulfill the plan. Either material shortages, machine capacity or lack of man hours.

  • Expedite operations and / or materials that are affecting the production schedule and this affects the monthly shipping and / or sales plan.

  • Supervise the efficient control of work orders on the production floor. supports planners in case of a problem and reports to the area manager if something goes out of goal.

  • Plan, develop and implement improvements to the production control system.

  • Participate in the inventory reduction plans and follows up on the NPI (MPS) file.

  • Coordinates with the different departments to improve the current performance of the department and production.

  • Supervises the personnel in area, assigns the tasks to ensure the continuous flow of work, performs performance evaluations of its subordinates and recommends development plans.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Job Qualifications:


• 5 years of planning of a manufacturing operation experience.


• 3 years of supervising experience.

Preferred Qualifications:


• Self-starter. Ability to solve problems, take responsibility and deliver results with a spirit of innovation and a strong commitment to excellence.


• Proficiency in use of MS Office Software - advanced PowerPoint skills required.


• Experience using MRP, MRP II, ERP, JIT, Kanban, production level loading, capacity resource planning, and Production Control.


• APICS CPIM or CSCP desired but not required.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Manufacturing or Supply Chain field.
