A Senior Textile Developer is needed for a multinational corporation that is involved in the design, development, manufacturing, and worldwide marketing and sales of athletic apparel, equipment, accessories, and services in the Beaverton, OR area. This Senior Textile Developer will collaborate with design and product management teams in creating and delivering high-quality, performance-focused textiles and prints for a global apparel brand.

responsibilities:

  • Partner with Design and Product Management to define, create, and deliver textile palettes focused on aesthetics, performance, and quality.

  • Provide insights on industry direction and introduce new innovations.

  • Develop textiles and prints with an understanding of apparel product creation.

  • Ensure product delivery meets high standards for athletes.

  • Report to the Global Apparel Materials Team (GLAM).

  • Support partners within the company brand, including Innovation, Design, Product Merchandising, Technical Development, Sustainability, Sourcing, and Manufacturing.

  • Collaborate with the materials team and cross-functional partners to develop new textiles and prints.

Skills:

  • Proactive problem-solving and information-seeking skills.

  • Ability to build strategic plans/roadmaps and execute them to completion.

  • strong multitasking skills and agility in handling ambiguity.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

  • Experience collaborating with global partners.

  • Ability to work independently and in diverse groups.

  • Experience with Smartsheet and Tableau is a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Science/Design, or related field.

  • Minimum 3+ years' relevant work experience in material development and/or product development.

  • 2 additional years of experience can substitute for a degree.
