Major responsibilities for Adoption Workerworking with families and/or youth and prepare them for adoption mayinclude:
  • Assessreadiness for adoptionby writinghome studies,executing the foster care licensing process, and providing post-placementsupervision andsupport
  • Serve youth in foster care as a Child Specific Recruiter toidentify permanent families foradoption
  • Travelthroughout the state ofMinnesota.CHLSS will reimburse formileage
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’sDegree requiredinsocialwork or human services field.Master’sDegreein Social Work and/or relevant work experience preferred.
  • Musthavestrongorganizationalskills, abilitytomultitask and casemanage,andkeepdocumentation up todate.
  • Flexibility to work some nights and weekends in order to best support families andkids.
  • The ability to travel to familyhomes.
  • Must have a valid drivers’ license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle and be insurable under agencypolicy.
  • Ability to work with and advocate for all clients served, regardless of race, religion, disability, sexual orientation or family type.
