  • Lead Material Review Board (MRB) activities, including dispositioning nonconforming materials, coordinating rework plans, and ensuring timely resolution.

  • Conduct hands-on shop-floor quality surveillance, supporting real-time inspection, verification, and process compliance.

  • Perform Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) analysis using 8D, 5-Whys, and DMAIC methodologies to address recurring quality issues.

  • Reduce Scrap, Rework, and Repair costs by implementing manufacturing process controls and quality-driven improvements.

  • Facilitate Corrective Action Board (CAB) reviews, driving Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) across manufacturing and supply chain processes.

  • Develop and refine Manufacturing Execution System (MES) workflows, ensuring proper tracking of nonconformances, escapes, and corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to ensure Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and Control Plans are aligned with industry quality standards.

  • Lead First Article Inspections (FAI), ensuring manufacturing processes are qualified.

  • Work with production teams to improve standard work instructions, process documentation, and operator training to drive quality accountability.

  • Provide expertise in composite fabrication, assembly integration, and hardware inspection.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical field.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing quality engineering.

  • Experience in composite structures, bonded assemblies, or metallic fabrication.

  • Experience with manufacturing process validation, including FAI, PFMEA, and process capability analysis.

  • Expertise in Material Review Board (MRB) processing, including nonconformance documentation, root cause investigation, and dispositioning hardware.

  • Strong background in production floor quality support, including inspection, process auditing, and compliance verification.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and GD&T.

  • Proficiency in Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) methods, including 8D problem-solving, CAPA, and DMAIC.

  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Quality Management Systems (QMS) in a production environment.

  • Working knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills to interface with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and auditors.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with CMM, laser scanning, or non-destructive testing (NDT) for components.
