Pay range: $38.08 - $45.22/hr. (this rate is inclusive of the $3.40/hr. Michigan Skilled Nursing Facility Direct Care Worker Pass-Through approved rate; current approval through September 30, 2025)

Overview:

The Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive nursing care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met in a supportive and respectful environment.

What you'll do:

Resident Care and Support
  • Deliver direct nursing care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Conduct thorough health assessments and monitor residents for changes in condition, reporting any concerns to the appropriate clinical team member.
  • Provide wound care and other specialized nursing procedures.
  • Monitor residents for adverse reactions and side effects, adjusting care plans as necessary.
Collaboration and Guidance
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and enhance residents' quality of life.
  • Oversee the work of nursing assistants and support staff, providing guidance and mentoring as needed.
Documentation and Reporting
  • Completes daily and monthly documentation, which is informative and descriptive, and reflects the care provided to the resident, as well as the resident's response to care.
  • Performs admission and discharge procedures as directed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies.
Compliance and Safety
  • Adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory protocols to maintain a safe environment for residents and team members.
  • Follow proper infection control protocols to prevent the spread of illness and ensure a safe environment for residents and team members.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain certification and stay updated on best practices in resident care.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards of conduct, including maintaining resident confidentiality and respecting their rights and autonomy.

What it takes:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred; an associate degree may be considered with relevant experience.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Current CPR certification or BLS certification required.
  • Previous experience working with the elderly / geriatric care preferred.
  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care environment.
  • Position requires the ability to lift and move objects, weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance.
