ANNOUNCEMENT OF CLASSIFIED VACANCY
2024 -2025 School Year
Position: Lunchroom Monitor
Location: Holloway Elementary
Hours: 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
Rate of Pay: As per adopted salary schedule
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Record of good attendance and strong work ethic.
- Evidence of good moral character as established in section 3301-20-03 of the Ohio Administrative Code.
- Ability to work with students, staff, and community members.
- Willingness to participate in future training.
- Willingness to follow the assigned work schedule.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and precautions for the work environment.
- Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate.
Maintain a conducive environment in the lunchroom that promotes respect, responsibility, preparation and safety.
Essential Functions:
- Supervises students during their lunch time.
- Assists students with opening lunch items, answering questions and cleaning up.
- Uses Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports to model and promote appropriate behavior throughout the lunch period.
- Interacts and supervises students by walking around and assisting as needed.
- Calls students at the appropriate time to go through cafeteria lines.
- Works with the teachers, counselors, and administrators to provide consistency with rules and procedures.
- Works as a team with kitchen staff and custodian to create a positive environment for all students and staff.
- Communicates as needed with all staff to ensure a team approach to problem solving.
- Helps maintain safety and security in the buildings.
- Accesses and responds to electronic communication (i.e., website, email, voice mail,etc.) daily.
- Responsible for attending to any matter deemed appropriate by the building principal.
- Must attend training when offered by the district.
