IAM Engineer Bangor, Maine About the Team At Bangor Savings Bank, we are expanding our Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. This team consists of two engineers working closely with our System Administration and Infrastructure teams. We believe in open feedback, continuous improvement, and sharing successes. We’re looking for an experienced IAM Engineer to help us continue our progress toward sustainable IAM maturity. How you will create an impact As a full-time IAM Engineer, you will create , maintain , and improve IAM System s and processes. Y ou’ll play a key role in expanding the tracking and automation of role-based access control, streamlining access for employees and improving our coverage while reducing manual effort . This role demands strong collaboration, clear communication, and attention to detail . This position offers a balance of challenging and rewarding work, where attention to detail and a security-first mindset are paramount. You'll have the opportunity to build relationships with talented individuals across the bank . This position is located at our beautiful new campus in Bangor, Maine, and off ers a hybrid work schedule. As an IAM Engineer, you will… W ork with technologies like SailPoint IdentityI Q and Entra ID. Author workflows , RPA, and scripts to automate and streamli ne IAM processes. Assist in the bank’s IAM program, including the add/move/change process , access reviews, and audit evidence gathering. Collaborate with your peers in Infrastructure by performing upgrades and patching. Document business processes and requirements in consultation with application owners, clearly outlining how IAM systems integrate with various applications. Stay informed about the latest IAM technologies, trends, and best practices, ensuring the bank's IAM solutions remain effective and up to date . Be a part of a collaborative work environment that values open communication, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing. We’re Excited About You Because You… Have a a minimum of 2 year's experience and a Bachelor's degree or a high school diploma or GED and 4 + years of experience in the field. A re a proactive problem- solver with a keen eye for detail and a passion for security. Ar e a team player with excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and identify potential vulnerabilities. Have the confidence to voice your ideas and a commitment to continuous improvement . Have a strong understanding of identity and access management principles, best practices, and industry standards. Exhibit a strong commitment to information security and understanding of its importance. Love to explore and map the organizational topology , creating logical systems where there were none, making roads for others to follow.
