VP/SVP Sales Manager

As a VP/SVP, you will be responsible for recruiting, developing, and managing an advisor team that meets annual production targets from the sale of MassMutual and MMLIS products and services. Our management career path opens the door for an experienced leader to join our team.

The VP/SVP performs duties to ensure sales growth by recruiting, developing, and managing an advisor team in meeting annual production targets from the sale of MassMutual and MMLIS products and services. The VP/SVP is committed to on-going recruiting efforts to continue to grow and evolve the sales unit. This position works in collaboration with the agency’s management team and staff to contract, on-board and support the long-term needs of financial professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Recruit qualified candidates for the advisor role through referrals, social media, leads lists, and other sources.

• Interview and assess candidates for fit with the agency model and culture.

• Follow the established onboarding process to contract new advisors and ensure a professional and efficient experience.

• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with advisors to build relationships, understand training and development needs, and provide guidance and feedback.

• Provide individualized assistance with case preparation, selling strategy, troubleshooting, etc.

• Conduct or participate in weekly team/unit meetings to apply training topics and develop sales skills.

• Supervise the unit's sales activities and ensure accountability and compliance.

• Identify opportunities for junior advisors to partner with senior advisors for joint work.

• Leverage staff resources to ensure that advisors are fully utilizing the agency support platform.

• Attend and participate in monthly sales management team and recruiting meetings.

• Work with management team to ensure the agency training program is a valuable resource for learning.

• Support company standards, policies, goals, and objectives as defined by company management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business management or related field

• Five or more years of sales management experience

• Proven track record of building and developing sales teams.

• Life, Accident & Health licensed.

• Series 7 & 66 (24 a plus)
