Job Overview

Hubbell is looking for an Electrical Testing Specialist I who will work out of our Keystone Electrical Manufacturing site in Des Moines, IA. As a member of our Electrical Testing Team, you will perform final acceptance testing of our equipment that we manufacture for the electrical utility industry.

A Day In The Life

  • Perform functional testing and final acceptance testing of electrical control panels, electrical enclosures, and related equipment

  • Document design or manufacturing errors to ensure proper correction

  • Follow all test procedures to ensure final product meets all internal and customer requirements

  • Validate component and labels to BOM / Layout

  • Communicate wiring and component issues with multiple teams

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering degree, Associate's or equivalent work experience with Wire Diagram / Schematic Knowledge preferred

  • Electrical troubleshooting experience

  • High attention to detail

  • Familiarity with electric testing equipment, including multimeters and phase angle meters

  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematic and wiring diagrams

  • Energized by problem-solving

  • Work well under strict deadlines

  • Teamwork and skill building mentality

  • Strong communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office, PDF programs
