Overview

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Biomedical Equipment Technician 2 at Carle Hospital. In this role, you'll be responsible for conducting preventive, predictive, and repair maintenance, as well as other scheduled services on Biomedical and related equipment. You'll have the opportunity to work with a variety of devices, including Infusion Pumps, Centrifuges, Suction pumps, Patient Support equipment, and more. Whether you're a seasoned professional or an avid hobbyist, if tinkering and fixing devices are your passion, come join our team and cultivate your skills as a Biomedical Equipment Tech 2.

Qualifications

License/Certifications:
Certified Associate in Biomedical Technology (CABT) within 1 year - Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI); Driver's License - Varies; Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) within 1 year - Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI)

Responsibilities

Exhibits a comprehensive understanding and can communicate the use of devices supported.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of clinical equipment, radiological, and network medical systems.
Demonstrates to the ability to oversee department related projects.
Mentors BMET 1 technicians
Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment with minimal supervision.
Can provide comprehensive support of acuity equipment for direct patient care
Is familiar with the operations and environment utilized to support hospital, clinic, et.
Has comprehensive experence in their assigned clinical environment
Capable of troubleshooting and repairing medical equipment independently specifically when on call.
