As a Psychiatrist with us, you'll have the unique opportunity to treat a diverse array of mental health conditions. Your role will encompass assessing, diagnosing, treating, and prescribing medication to individuals facing behavioral health and psychological challenges in an outpatient clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct clinical services through psychosocial assessments, individual, family, and group therapy.
- Conduct thorough outpatient psychiatric evaluations and manage ongoing medication treatment.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary integrated team to develop and deliver effective treatment plans.
- Foster strong provider-patient relationships, ensuring coordinated care with external providers.
- Engage in community outreach through presentations and educational lectures.
- Mentor and train graduate students to enrich their practical experience.
- Maintain accurate electronic records and clinical documentation, adhering to regulatory compliance.

Required Qualifications:
- Active Psychiatrist License (MD/DO) in the state of practice.
- Board-Eligible or Board-Certified status in the state of practice.
- Current Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Over 2 years of experience in Behavioral Health within an outpatient clinical setting.
- Proficiency with computers for professional communication and medical documentation, including software like Excel, Outlook, and Athena RMS (or other EHRs).
- Expertise in treating children, adolescents, and families.
- Knowledge of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and relevant treatment tools.
The salary range for this position is $214,000 to $382,000 annually, reflecting total cash compensation based on experience and achievements. Optum provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes recognition programs, equity stock purchase options, and 401k contributions, subject to eligibility requirements.
