Engineer 3, Software Development & Engineering Design and develop automation scripts for Android and iOS mobile devices using Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, C, C++, Jenkins, Appium, Git, GitHub, SOAP, REST, Postman, Quality Center, and WebDriver; write and execute test cases using 3GPP specification; use JIRA to track issues and resolutions; create documentation for new features and device capabilities; conduct user trials for new software products; work with internet protocols, including TCP/IP, Sq-AP, GTP, SIP, UDP, HTTPS, and IPSec; use VMware for virtualization; use Wireshark, QXDM professional, and Samsung on-device log collection protocol analyzer tools; validate features and functionality in smartphones that use Qualcomm, MediaTek, and Exonys chipsets; certify and approve Samsung flagship mobile devices; develop and execute tests for WiFi 6E, WiFi 7, 4G LTE, and 5G networks; provide software upgrade support, including validating new features, and resolving bugs and security issues; develop and validate test scripts using Python and Robot framework; develop and review mobile requirements and architecture of mobile platforms, and implement end-to-end testing using manual test procedures and automated test scripts wherever they are automatable; support applications under development and customize current applications; assist with the software update process for existing applications, and roll-outs of software releases; analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications; document all development activity; research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports; monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects; collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements; conduct analysis to determine integration needs; work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.
