Come join the DHS team, apply today DESCRIPTION OF WORK You will provide direct nursing care and treatment services, which includes recording and reporting vital signs, symptoms, and reactions or responses to medication/treatments; accurately complying with medication administration policy and completion of physician's orders; and assisting patients with ADLs, skin care, room care, mealtimes, and other associated nursing care techniques. You will be part of a dedicated team focused on improving individual's mental health and quality of life by providing care during their mental health recovery. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment; 80 hours biweekly. The Department of Human Services provides excellent benefits, pay increases, paid leave and holidays, as well as opportunities for career advancement. Work hours are 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) with 30-minute lunch. May change based on operational needs Rotating schedule, works weekends and holidays. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONSNecessary Special Requirements: This position requires active authorization to practice as a Licensed Practice Nurse in Pennsylvania. All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. If you are within 60 days of completing a licensed practical nursing program approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply for this job posting. At the time of appointment to a position, you must show proof of possession of a current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Licensed Practical Nurse license. You must be able to perform essential job functions.Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and a drug screening test.
