Position Overview: We're on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Clinical Manager to join our awesome team. As the SLP Clinical Manager, you'll be at the helm of our speech therapy department, ensuring top-notch patient care and leading a team of passionate SLPs. If you have a knack for leadership, clinical expertise, and a heart for working with kids, we want to hear from you
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the speech therapy department, including supervising and mentoring 3-4 SLPs and support staff.
- Provide Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) mentorship to new graduates.
- Oversee patient care, ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice and patient satisfaction.
- Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with other department managers to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to patient care.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support the professional development of team members.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new staff.
- Engage in community outreach and marketing activities, including developing content and participating in a couple of events per year.
- Stay current with advancements in the field and integrate new knowledge into clinical practice.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in North Dakota.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in pediatric speech-language pathology.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- A motivating and energetic personality that inspires and uplifts the team.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and quality improvement.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time salaried position requiring 36-40 hours per week.
- 4 or 5 day work week with autonomy in scheduling within core hours.
Goals:
- Ensure a productive and happy employee environment.
- Grow programs within the speech department.
- Provide oversight of clinical operations.
