Job Summary:
At Home Services for Independent Living is seeking compassionate and reliable individuals to join our team as Per Diem Companions in Southold, New York. As a part-time employee, you will be free to choose your own schedule. Once registered with the agency, you will begin to receive job offers and it will be up to you whether you how often, when, and for what rate you are willing to work. No Stress  This part-time, hourly role involves providing companionship and support to elderly or disabled individuals in their homes. As an individual contributor, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for our clients by promoting independence and social interaction.

Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive hourly rate between $20 and $22 per hour, with weekly pay. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide companionship and emotional support to elderly or disabled individuals in their homes

• Engage in conversation and activities to promote socialization and mental stimulation

• Assist with daily tasks, such as medication reminders, meal preparation, and light housekeeping

• Accompany clients to appointments and outings as needed

• Monitor and report any changes in the client's physical or mental well-being

• Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, families, and team members

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with elderly or disabled individuals preferred

• Compassionate and empathetic nature

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities

• Must be able to pass a background check

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
