Job Requirements

Are you an experienced IT Systems Analyst with a knack for managing and optimizing cloud-based data warehousing solutions? We're looking for a Sr. IT Systems Analyst - Application/Software Development - Snowflake to join our team in a hybrid role, with a preference for candidates residing in the Austin, TX area.

Position Details:

  • Location: Hybrid (must reside in Austin, TX area and report onsite 3 days a week)
  • Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays
  • Duration: 01/20/2025 to 08/31/2025
  • Pay Rate: $86.67/hr
Role Overview: As a Sr. IT Systems Analyst - Snowflake Administrator, you will understand business objectives and problems, identify alternative solutions, and perform cost/benefit analysis of these alternatives. You will analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or improve existing computer systems. This includes conferring with personnel to analyze current operational procedures, identifying problems, and learning specific input and output requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain Snowflake's cloud-based data warehousing solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Identify and resolve performance issues within the Snowflake environment.
  • Design and implement data integration processes.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and IT management.
  • Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
  • Review computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine feasibility within the existing system.
Essential Skills:
  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Experience with Snowflake's unique features like SnowSQL.
  • Understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes.
  • Ability to work with cloud computing environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.
  • Expertise in performance tuning, security and compliance, scripting and automation, system monitoring and maintenance, data quality assurance, ETL pipeline management, documentation and reporting, and role-based access control.
  • Proficiency in Python.
Candidate Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in SQL and PL/SQL.
  • 8+ years of experience with cloud technologies and data warehousing concepts.
  • 8+ years of expertise in the Snowflake platform.
  • 8+ years of experience in performance tuning, security and compliance, scripting and automation, problem-solving, communication and collaboration, system monitoring and maintenance, data quality assurance, ETL pipeline management, documentation and reporting, and role-based access control.
  • Proficiency in Python.
Preferred:
  • 4+ years of project management experience.
  • SnowPro Core Certification.
  • SnowPro Advanced: Administrator Certification.
