Responsibilities Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose any medical conditions. Develop and implement treatment plans based on the diagnosis. Perform surgeries and other medical procedures as necessary. Administer vaccinations and medications as prescribed. Provide emergency care for critically ill or injured animals. Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient. Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure optimal patient care. Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities. Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school. Valid veterinary license to practice in the state. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal husbandry, and critical care practices. Proficiency in animal handling techniques and pet grooming skills is preferred. Experience in laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine is an advantage. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare. Schedule: 10 hour shift 12 hour shift 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
