POSITION:
Summary
We are seeking an IT Associate to support our corporate IT functions. We are a Microsoft 365 shop utilizing Apple technology as well and multiple showrooms in the Pella Mid-Atlantic region. We are looking for someone with a great attitude, and the ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment, is key. Our robust environment will give you the opportunity to work on unique projects affecting our users and organization as a whole. You will need to be able to think on your feet provide and world-class customer service to our workforce.
Responsibilities
- Typical duties include installing, maintaining, and administering desktop computer systems and associated peripherals including printers, monitors, switchboxes, business application software, and various operating systems.
- Provide configuration and user support for Windows machines
- Install desktops, portable computers, peripherals, and software products for networked, classified, and unclassified, and standalone environments.
- Detect, diagnose, research solutions, and resolve desktop and portable computer software and hardware failures.
- Creating, modifying and removing users from multiple cloud based systems.
- Provide users with information, guidance, and instruction on use of desktop and portable computer hardware and software.
- Analyze and assess customer service requests and provide prompt technical solutions.
- Utilize trouble-ticketing software for opening/updating/closing tickets in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Identify and document areas for process improvements.
- Contact and effectively communicate with users by telephone, electronic communications, or in person.
- Prepare equipment for reuse or surplus of property actions.
- Perform software and hardware upgrades and installations involving multiple computers, printers, multi-printers, and peripherals.
- Support mobile device management (iPhones and iPads)
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required.
- 3+ years of database, Microsoft 365, and/or network administration, or system administration experience.
- System administration and IT certifications in Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus.
- Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, Microsoft Azure or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
- WiFi 5 and 6 or equivalent experience.
- Support VOIP (Ring Central preferred).
- Experience with scripting and automation tools.
- A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans.
- Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.
