Job Overview

As a Controls and Commissioning Director, you will be responsible for the technical guidance, management of our software development managers and our commissioning managers. This position is focused on implementing site-based controls for new equipment within new or existing customer systems. You will manage, develop, educate, and guide a team of controls commissioning managers. To support the project scope and schedule, this position will work with other members of the project management group to ensure we are on schedule, and we have excellent deliverables for the controls, you will be for tracking all the development and commissioning schedules for all our projects. You will work with our sales department to answer all their question from the technical expertise, hours, and schedules. This position to report directly to the VP of engineering

Role and Responsibilities:

o Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and software designs.

o Ensure that software designs are in compliance with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.

o Identify and mitigate technical risks, and ensure that the solutions are scalable, maintainable, and cost-effective.

o Work very closely with your commissioning managers to ensure they are having the right tools and resources, also to ensure that projects is on schedule regarding controls commissioning and ready to resolve any technical issue the project might face.

o Participate in code and design reviews to ensure that the solution meets the requirements and adheres to the established standards. Help to commission complex automated systems, provide site engineering support, and complete system acceptance testing as needed.

o Provide technical support to end-users and resolve technical issues as needed.

o Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and evaluate their potential impact on the solution.

o Utilize "Human Machine Interface" (HMI) using commercially available products including but not limited to: Wonderware, RSView, Aviva, Kepware, Factory Talk view and Ignition.

Qualifications:

o Bachelor's degree,( Master`s degree a plus) in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.

o 10+ years of experience with software development and commissioning which includes:

o PLC programming (Rockwell Software preferred, Schnider, Siemens software a plus)

o HMI Programming (Factory Talk View preferred, indosoft, and Ignition a plus)

o Has the technical expertise and heavy knowledge in sortation logic.

o Input and output device design and implementation.

o Industrial communication networks (EtherNet/IP, Devicenet, Profinet, etc.)

o Experience with Rockwell, Schneider, and (Siemens VFDs a plus)

o Experience with Microsoft 365 - Office Apps

o In-depth knowledge of software design principles, patterns, and best practices

o Experience in developing scalable, high-performance, and secure software systems.

o Strong knowledge of database technologies and their integration with software systems

o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and proactively.

o Experience in agile software development methodologies

o Must be self-motivated, self-aware, detail-oriented, and results-focused.

o Ability to schedule, manage, and execute basic system implementations, enhancements, and retrofits0

o Experience working with a variety of software development technologies, such as Java, .NET, Python, and JavaScript are preferred but not required.

o Familiarity with technologies related to data analytics and machine learning is a plus.
