Position Highlights:
  • Position: Registered Nurse, Radiology
  • Location: Glenbrook Hospital
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full Time, 40 hours/week
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
What you will do:
  • Will be responsible to establish/streamline the entire MRI/CTA cardiac program.
  • Under the directions of the Staff Radiologist and/or Nurse Manager, this nurse provides quality nursing care, utilizing the nursing process, to the patient while in the Department of Radiology.
  • Will be involved in all aspects of patient care in the MRI/CT/Angio lab.
  • Will be responsible for scheduling MRI/CT times and coordinating with ancillary services as needed. Responsible for maintaining compliance with any regulatory body standards.
  • Performs at a level of optimum nursing quality, not requiring constant supervision.
  • Performs a variety of nursing and clerical duties to streamline Department of Radiology MRI/CT Cardiac cases, requiring independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative.
  • Assumes responsibility for specific special procedures examinations and/or may be assigned duties, as requested
What you will need:
  • Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required, BSN preferred
  • License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
  • Certification: Certification for ACLS. BLS/CPR certification required (American Heart Association BLS for the Healthcare Provider).
  • Experience: Minimum one year critical care experience preferred. Evidence of professional competence based on references related to experience.
  • Unique or Preferred Skills: Familiarity with ACLS drug protocol. Must be able to build and maintain good communications and working relationships with patients, families, physicians, staff and members of the community. Strong computer skills.
