Job Summary

Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support government customer in warfare, future capability, and science and technology analysis. This position will require intermittent travel within the Continental US.

  • Assists government planning, briefing, and decision-making processes.
  • It requires subject matter expertise as a U.S. Marine Corps mission areas, operational capabilities, warfare analysis, technical assessment, and requirements development experience at the OPNAV/HQMC/NAVAIR.
Essential Job Functions

The position includes conducting warfare analysis and technical research to assess and update the Naval Aviation Enterprise's (NAE) mission integration and effectiveness vision to deliver the Flight Plan/Road mapping of platform, payload, and advanced system capabilities.
  • Develop and manage a future capability plan for the a platform and payload in support of NAVAIR, OPNAV, and HQMC and the Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution process requirements.
  • Identify Science and Technology opportunities in systems, sensors, and equipment to be monitored, assisted, or transitioned to programs of record.
  • Monitor and provide analysis of advanced system development, test and evaluation, and fleet experiments and demonstrations.
  • Develop engagement plans, tailored briefing, and decision products to inform stakeholders and key working groups as to the status of the respective portfolio and potential capability gap/technology insertion opportunities.
  • Validate lethality and survivability requirements and ensure capabilities meet high-end warfighting CONOPS/CONEMPS.
  • Ensure Flight Plan/Road-Map alignment with adversary analysis, capability assessments, identified warfighting requirements, and stated fleet needs.
  • Research, analyze, and assess potential strategies, concepts, and technologies to address current and future capability and performance gaps, define fleet validated requirements, and provide recommended solutions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience in program management and analysis.
  • Four (4) years as team leader or supervisor.
  • Applicants with the most recent and relevant USMC aviation operational experience (10+ years) and Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) highly desired.
  • Familiarity with structure and execution of DoD acquisition programs
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required, MS Project desired.
  • Must have current Secret security clearance with TS/SCI eligibility.
