The PCB Designer provides printed circuit board (PCB) design expertise in support of product development and manufacturing. location: Zeeland, Michigan job type: Contract salary: $57 - 65 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Associates responsibilities: Required Skills - Mentor Graphics Xpedition 2 - 12 layer PCB experience automotive Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Designer Job Duties - Design PCBs at a high volume automotive technology company. Utilize design analysis tools to aid in circuit design and ensure products meet quality standards. Support cross-functional design reviews with PCB design expertise. Provide PCB design mentoring and training to co-workers. Maintain knowledge of supplier capabilities, processes, and best practices to drive consistent high-quality development and manufacturing. Application of automotive EMC and quality standards to PCB design from concept through - production. Stay current with technology, manufacturing, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement of products, process, and methods. Job Requirements - 10+ years of relevant professional working experience designing PCBs. Proficient experience with Mentor Graphics Xpedition toolchain to perform PCB layout. Experience with a wide range of PCBs from 2 to 12 layers. Ability to develop high-density interconnect (HDI) PCBs of up to 12 layers. Minimum two year technical degree or equivalent experience. Previous professional work experience in automotive new product development.
