Junior Contract Analyst (2 openings) — Fort Belvoir, VA (on-site, full-time)
The role: Two openings supporting contract operations at a military medical facility at Fort Belvoir, VA. This is an excellent growth seat for someone early in a federal acquisition career: broad exposure to the full acquisition lifecycle, direct work with department directors and the contracting office, and a clear path to more senior contract roles.
What you'll do
- Prepare compliant pre
- and post-award documentation under FAR, DFARS, and DoD/DHA guidance
- Formulate performance work statements and supporting documentation for pre-award requirements packages
- Meet with division directors and staff to make sure requirements are developed correctly for contracting approval
- Generate and maintain the templates and documentation used to submit requirements to contracting
- Conduct training and educational briefings for staff and CORs on procedures and policy
- Provide programmatic guidance to internal and external customers and attend meetings as a subject matter resource
- Review applicable clauses and provisions; assist with tracking credentials and security requirements of contract staff
- Deliver monthly reports on active and outstanding acquisition actions Required
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree including or supplemented by at least 24 semester hours in accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a GS-1102 or equivalent contractor role (contract specialist, administrator, or procurement analyst)
- DAWIA Contracting Level I certification (graduate education may substitute)
- Knowledge of the federal acquisition process, contracting principles, and price/cost analysis fundamentals
- Able to read, write, and speak English fluently
- U.
S. citizenship; must be able to obtain and maintain facility access (badge/CAC)
