/n EMERGENCY MEDICINE PHYSICIAN
- FLORIDA /n COMMUNITY /n Jacksonville and suburbs offer year round outdoor golf and beach activities for the whole family. Excellent private or public schools. NFL + nearby Division 1 NCAA sports. No state income tax. /n /n OVERVIEW /n Due to growth and expansion, Emergency Med group adding physicians /n Multiple sites to choose from /n Rotate between 2 community sites with annual volumes 20k-65k /n Main ED of 30-50 beds, Freestanding 16-25 beds /n Avg patients/hr expected 1.5 -2 pph /n Epic EMR w/ PACS, Dragon & AI scribe /n Coverage model 70% physician/ 30% APC /n Supported by HUC (unit secretary), Tech (splints/IV) /n Specialists @Hospitals: Surgical Specialists, Anesthesia, OBGYN) **some IR /n Main site has Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, EP, Ophthalmology /n /n ROLE /n 9 or 10-hour shifts; Some 12-hour shifts. /n Independent Contractor Model /n Most physicians average 120-160hrs/month /n Weekend / holiday/ night participation expected /n Procedures expected: endotracheal intubation -direct & video laryngoscopy, cricothyroidotomy, chest tube placement, central lines, IO placement, pericardiocentesis, needle thoracotomy, vaginal deliveries, laceration repairs, I&D, FB removal, full eye exam, POCUS/FAST exam, procedural sedation /n Productivity expectations: 1.6 -2.6 pph /n Supervision model: strong physician oversight of APCs /n /n 1099 PACKAGE /n /n
- Average $277 per hour with bonus /n
- Can earn up to $320 per hr /n
- Productivity RVU bonus’ paid quarterly /n
- Sign-on bonus + Voluntary Paid Call /n
- Malpractice with Tail Coverage /n /n /n YOU /n EM residency training only requirement /n BC/BE ABEM/AOBEM /n Ability to obtain/maintain medical license in Florida /n ACLS, PALS (not currently req. if boarded) /n /n
