Job Description/n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced PCU Float RN with Epic experience and ACLS/BLS certification for resource pool coverage on night shifts.

/n /n Responsibilities/n

- Work in a hospital resource pool setting, floating between all PCU and Med-Surg units
- May be assigned to Inpatient Rehab at nearby facilities as needed
- Staffing needs are reviewed every 4 hours, so frequent floating between units is required
- Patient ratios are 5:1 for PCU and 6-7:1 for Med-Surg units
- Night shifts are 3x12 hours from 18:45 to 07:15, with 4x12 hour shifts available by request
- Epic EMR experience is required for this position
- Required to float as needed based on hospital staffing demands
- May be required to work at least one holiday per 13-week assignment, with two holidays required during winter assignments
- No Christmas RTO requests can be approved
- Orientation includes up to 5 hours for general modules and 2 hours for Epic modules
- Modules may be completed prior to start or during orientation
- Assignment extensions are not permitted for local travelers
- Travelers who have reached 365 days of assignment will not be eligible to return, except as reviewed by facility leadership
- Dress code and other hospital-specific work environment details will be addressed during onboarding

/n /n Requirements/n

- Active RN license in VA or compact state is required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required
- Experience working all PCU and Med-Surg units is mandatory
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must provide two professional references for consideration
- Candidates who reside within 100 miles of the facility are considered local and are not accepted except under certain distance restrictions for limited assignments
- Previous employees must be separated from employment for at least one year before returning as a traveler
- Copy of driver's license and social security number must be provided
