Job Description/n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of acute hospital experience, ARRT certification, and proficiency with portable and ER radiography.

/n /n Responsibilities/n

- Work in a large acute care hospital with 300+ beds and Level 1 trauma designation
- Radiology unit handles ER, PICU, NICU, Endoscopy, general X-ray, portable X-rays, and Panorex procedures
- Imaging performed for inpatient and outpatient fluoroscopy including swallow studies, cystograms, VCUGs, urethrograms, arthrograms, lumbar punctures, and myelograms
- Provide radiology support for neurosurgery, urology, orthopedics, and pediatric procedures in OR settings
- Utilize a variety of imaging equipment, including GE 656 General Rooms, GE OEC C-arms, Siemens Mira Portables, Medtronic O-arm, and Hologic Fluoroscan Mini C-arm
- EPIC EMR system is used in the department
- Premium gray scrubs required
- Two work schedule options: weekend rotation approximately every third weekend or 8 days on/6 days off rotation with 10-hour shifts
- Ensure accurate patient positioning and perform radiographic procedures per provider orders
- Implement radiation safety and protection measures during imaging
- Deliver patient care and education throughout diagnostic imaging procedures
- Training provided with a preceptor and equipment competency sign-off required before independent use
- Must demonstrate competency with C-arm and O-arm before performing OR cases
- All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
- Travelers who have previously worked at the facility must have a 6-month gap between assignments
- Local candidates within 80 miles accepted with an adjusted rate
- Gray scrub color is required

/n /n Requirements/n

- Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a radiology technologist in an acute care hospital
- Current ARRT (R) certification required
- Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
- NDMRT licensure required or willingness to apply within 48 hours of offer; license required if applicable
- Proficiency in portable X-rays, ER, and OR C-arm imaging
- Working knowledge of radiographic positioning, image processing, quality control, and radiation protection required
- Ability to use and navigate EPIC EMR
