- Location: Middlebury, VT 05753 (Vermont nursing jobs)/n
- Healthcare Setting: Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit – Critical Access Hospital/n
- Assignment Length: 16 weeks (option to extend up to 32 weeks)/n
- Start Date: December 22, 2025/n
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)/n
- Hours per Week: 36/n
- Employment Type: Travel RN Contract/n
- Orientation: Bi-weekly; next available January 5/n
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2100-$2250/n

/n/nMed/Surg Telemetry RN Requirements/n

/n
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience/n
- Prior travel nursing experience required/n
- Experience as Charge RN, with insulin drip and cardiac drip management/n
- Progressive care nursing experience preferred/n
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Vermont or compact state)/n
- Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications/n
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start/n
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years/n
- Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (no public transportation)/n
- All-season or snow tires required November–April/n

/n/nRegistered Nurse Responsibilities/n

/n
- Provide patient-centered care to medical, telemetry, orthopedic, urology, ENT, GYN, and general surgery patients/n
- Manage progressive care level patients and coordinate transfers as needed/n
- Participate in Code 99, Rapid Response, Fall, and IV teams/n
- Perform unit-specific procedures: IV starts, venipuncture, EKGs, medication administration/n
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including 24/7 hospitalist, respiratory, lab, and x-ray support/n
- Document care in EPIC EMR and manage medications via PYXIS/n
- Foster a culture of teamwork, professional development, and continuous learning/n
- Work every other weekend; flexible scheduling to meet patient care needs/n
