Job Description/n

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and current ARRT-R and BLS certifications for a busy Level I Trauma teaching hospital.

/n /n Responsibilities/n

- Position is based in a high-acuity hospital with Level I Trauma and Level 1 Pediatric Trauma center designation
- Work in a radiology department caring for adults and pediatrics from ED, ICUs, nursing units, and outpatient services
- Average patient volume is 350-400 per day across all radiology exams
- Utilizes Shimadzu RadSpeed general rad room, Intelli-C multipurpose, Konica and Shimadzu portables, and GE and Siemens R/F rooms
- EMR system is Epic
- 12-hour day shifts, Saturday through Monday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Position requires participation in call coverage with fair rotation among full time, part time, PRN, and traveler staff
- This is a weekend position and includes all weekends
- No floating required
- Duties involve performing a variety of radiology exams for pediatric and adult patients from multiple departments
- Support structure includes a lead tech, modality supervisor, and an imaging manager
- Team consists of staff with varying experience levels, from new grads to senior technologists
- Five days of departmental orientation provided, with flexibility based on traveler needs
- Travelers are expected to assist with holiday coverage unless time off is approved in advance
- Scrub color for technologists is black
- Free staff parking is available
- First-time travelers are encouraged to apply
- Time-off requests require manager approval

/n /n Requirements/n

- Current ARRT-R and BLS certifications required
- At least 1 year of recent experience as a radiology technologist
- Confidence in clinical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR is preferred
- License required if applicable
