Contract Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Contract Electrical Technician to support maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of electrical systems in a power generation facility. The ideal candidate will have experience working with medium
- and high-voltage equipment, motors, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, and control systems while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults using drawings, schematics, and testing equipment.
- Install, repair, and commission motors, transformers, breakers, switchgear, MCCs, and control panels.
- Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA and NFPA 70E safety standards.
- Conduct insulation resistance, continuity, and voltage testing.
- Calibrate and maintain electrical instrumentation and protective relays.
- Support plant outages, shutdowns, and commissioning activities.
- Maintain maintenance records and complete work orders accurately.
- Work with operations and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability. Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent industrial electrical experience.
- 3–5+ years of experience in power plants, industrial facilities, or oil & gas.
- Experience with 480V through high-voltage electrical systems.
- Ability to read electrical one-line diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs.
- Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and industrial control systems is preferred.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass background, drug, and safety screening. Preferred Skills
- Power generation experience.
- Relay testing and commissioning.
- Transformer and switchgear maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Schedule
- 10–12 hour shifts as required.
- Overtime and outage work may be required.
- Contract duration based on project needs. Safety Strict adherence to OSHA regulations, NFPA 70E, company safety procedures, and all Lockout/Tagout requirements is mandatory.
