Responsibilities:

- Perform residential electrical installations, troubleshooting, upgrades, and maintenance, with occasional commercial work.
- Work independently and alongside apprentices/helpers to complete jobs efficiently and safely
- Interpret and apply the New York State Electrical Code, local building codes, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies
- Read, interpret, and work from electrical plans, schematics, blueprints, and specifications
- Complete rough and finish electrical work, including wiring, device installation, service upgrades, panel work, and troubleshooting
- Diagnose electrical issues and implement effective, code-compliant solutions
- Safely operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, ladders, and electrical testing equipment
- Ensure work is performed in occupied residential homes with professionalism, cleanliness, and respect for clients’ property
- Coordinate with homeowners, inspectors, supervisors, and other trades as needed
- Maintain accurate job-site documentation and communicate progress or issues to management
- Train, guide, and provide oversight to electrical helpers and apprentices when assigned
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and job-site conditions
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and in confined spaces such as basements, attics, and crawl spaces
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Comply with all company policies and applicable labor, licensing, and safety regulations

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on electrical experience, primarily in residential work (commercial experience a plus)
- Ability to provide verifiable employer documentation demonstrating prior electrical employment (on the books)
- Ability to provide references upon request
- Authorized to work in the United States and able to provide required employment eligibility documentation upon hire. Will be verified through E-Verify.
- Valid New York State driver’s license and a clean driving record, as job duties require travel to job sites
- Reliable personal transportation to and from job sites
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, as required for safety, customer interaction, and job-site coordination
- Ownership of required journeyman-level electrical tools necessary to perform assigned duties
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor and strong customer-service skills when working in residential settings
