Job Description/n
American Traveler is seeking a MRI Technologist for a weekend night shift position requiring at least 1 year of MRI experience and national certification.
/n /n Responsibilities/n
- Work in a hospital-based MRI department serving ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient populations
- Performs neuro, cardiac, pediatric (including anesthesia cases), and medical device patient imaging
- Handles 30-40 patients per day with support from guest services, tech assistants, and Child Life Services
- Uses GE 1.5T SIGNA Artist and Siemens 3T Skyra MRI scanners
- EPIC EMR, Epic Radiant RIS, and Philips iSite PACS are utilized
- 12-hour night shifts every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
- Primarily weekend role with 75% holiday work expectation
- No floating to other departments and no on-call required
- Department operates within a Level III trauma and teaching hospital
- Responsible for preparing, positioning, and assisting patients throughout the MRI procedure
- Performs and evaluates the technical quality of images, consulting with radiologists as needed
- Prepares and administers IV contrast per protocol
- Observes infection control and safety practices, including bloodborne precautions
- Administrative orientation provided, plus additional department training as needed
- Black scrubs required
- Free parking available

- RTO requests require manager approval
/n /n Requirements/n
- Minimum of 1 year MRI technologist experience required
- National certification: ARRT(R) or NMTCB, and either ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT
- Current BLS certification required
- Familiarity with EPIC and advanced MRI technology preferred
- License required if applicable
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler
