Job Description/n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in an LDRP unit with required fetal heart monitoring skills and autonomy for high-acuity cases.

/n /n Responsibilities/n

- Work in a combined LDRP unit, providing care to both mothers and newborns
- Unit handles about 100 births per year, resulting in a lower volume but includes higher acuity and high-risk cases
- Patient ratios are typically 1:1-2
- Night shifts are 12 hours, 7 PM to 7 AM, with options for 36 or 48 hours per week
- Floating to MedSurg, CNA, secretary, or helping hands roles is required
- Weekend work is required, determined by department needs
- Centricity and Meditech Magic systems are used for medication, documentation, and communication
- Role involves caring for both mothers and newborns throughout the labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum periods
- Team members should be comfortable with autonomous practice in a small, less busy department
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Navy blue scrubs are required
- Weekend and holiday coverage may be required based on departmental needs
- Local candidates are accepted

/n /n Requirements/n

- Active NC or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
- Certifications required: ACLS, NRP, AWHONN, and BCLS
- Proficiency in fetal heart monitoring is required
- Strong experience and ability to provide autonomous care for high-acuity cases
