Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
/n• Self-scheduling available but not always guaranteed
/n• Every other weekend requirement
/n• Holiday rotation with permanent staff (typically one major and one minor holiday)
/n• Patient ratios of 1:2, may be 1:1 depending on acuity
/n• Must have minimum 3 years ICU experience required
/n• Travel experience preferred
/n• Cerner experience preferred
/n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
/n• Navy scrubs required
/n• 3 shifts of floor-specific orientation provided
/n• Floating required to IMCU (stepdown) or Observation units
/n• Charge nurse responsibilities included
/n• Must be able to read cardiac strips (no monitor technicians available)
/n• Manage various drips including vasopressors, sedation, and cardiac medications
/n• Care for ventilated patients
/n• Handle complex cases including neurosurgery patients, open heart patients, and cardiac interventions
/n• Work with balloon pumps and impellas if experienced and skills validated
/n• No CRRT or ECMO experience required
/n• Use Cerner EMR system
/n• BSN not required

The facility maintains 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy services, with hospitalist and intensivist coverage available around the clock. The organization specializes in complex cardiac and neurosurgical procedures, offering advanced critical care including post-operative management for craniotomies, cardiac catheterizations, and open heart surgeries. The facility utilizes Phillips monitoring equipment and maintains high standards of care with appropriate staffing ratios and comprehensive support services.
