Job Title: Senior Audit Manager

Location:

Anne Arundel County, candidates must be local, candidates living outside the US are not being considered for this role, company can not provide visa sponsorship.

Onsite requirement : 5x a week in-office for first 6 months, then will adjust to a hybrid schedule Compensation : $150-180k + bonus

Position Overview:

As a Senior Audit Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading audit engagements, managing client relationships, and guiding audit teams to deliver high-quality services. You will leverage your expertise in audit methodologies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices to provide valuable insights and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities: Lead and execute audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards. Oversee and review audit workpapers, financial statements, and related documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and providing strategic recommendations to address business challenges. Identify risks and opportunities for process improvements, operational efficiencies, and internal controls enhancements. Coach, mentor, and develop audit staff, providing guidance on technical matters, professional development, and career growth. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including tax, advisory, and consulting professionals, to deliver integrated solutions and value-added services to clients. Stay abreast of emerging accounting standards, regulatory changes, and industry trends to enhance audit methodologies and service offerings.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on audit services. Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and other relevant accounting and auditing standards. Proven track record of leading audit engagements and managing client relationships. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
