Reporting to the Production Control Manager, this person will be responsible for supporting manufacturing areas by planning plant production based on stocking levels, maintaining production schedules, tracking production, and reviewing any factors affecting schedules.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of production scheduling/demand planning experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.What you'll do: Evaluate production demand and determine schedule dates to meet customers' order. Track production to ensure delivery dates will be met.Develop the production schedule based on targeted inventory levels with input from Sales and Operations. Prioritize production schedules based on supply chain deficits, product demand and sales forecasts.Coordinate and work with all departments including Operations to exceed the company departmental and customer's goals and objectives.Reconcile inventory variances. Manage multiple work activities and frequently changing priorities. Review product forecasts for new, existing, and discontinued items.Develop relevant performance metrics, monitor performance, and issue weekly and monthly reports.Support performance and process procedures. Review output level to established target levels and production compliance, monitor, and report shortages and make management aware of any potential shortages.Perform all work in accordance with established departmental work instructions.Embrace and foster and environment that supports our core values of Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, and Excellence.What you'll bring: 3-5 years of production scheduling/demand planning experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing environment.
