We are currently recruiting a highly skilled Locum Physician to provide exceptional obstetric and gynecologic care in Visalia, California. This role offers a unique chance to work in a vibrant healthcare environment, supporting pregnant patients and collaborating with a talented team dedicated to maternal and fetal health. In this pivotal position, you will cover 24-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM, delivering comprehensive obstetric care within a Level III NICU setting. You will manage unassigned patients within a pseudo-laborist program, coordinate with local community providers for backup, and handle emergent gynecologic responsibilities. This role provides an engaging blend of clinical excellence and collaborative teamwork, offering a meaningful impact on maternal health outcomes. Required Skills: Valid Medical License to Practice Medicine Board Certification or Eligibility in Obstetrics & Gynecology Proven experience in labor and delivery, obstetrics, and gynecologic emergencies Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Nice to Have Skills: Previous experience in hospitalist or locum tenens roles Familiarity with NICU Level III care standards Advanced certifications such as NRP or Fetal Monitoring Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Minimum of 2 years’ experience in obstetrics and gynecology, preferably in hospital-based settings Experience working with Family Medicine residency programs is a plus Other Requirements: Availability for 24-hour shifts scheduled on a rotating basis Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NRP Ability to travel to the healthcare facility as needed Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and upholding hospital policies Compensation for this role is highly competitive, with an hourly pay rate of $234.00.
