In this Materials Handler position, you will serve as the principal Materials Handler at the CBP National Distribution Center (NDC). You will work independently in a wide range of warehousing activities, including receiving, storing, selecting, and shipping general or specialized materials and equipment. Typical work assignments include: Coordinating all inbound shipments with the commercial carrier; Managing customer order process, screening inventory requests for accuracy and completeness; Loading shipments onto trucks using a variety of warehouse equipment, as needed, to include forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and dollies; and Assisting management in planning storage space, establishing item locations, determining organization and arrangement of stock, and identifying high and low usage items according to agency regulations and procedures.
