Mercy Hospital Springfield is looking for an active dynamic leader to join our evening environmental services supervisory team.

The Environmental Services Supervisor is responsible for providing primary oversight to the housekeeping staff engaged in a variety of duties across Mercy facilities with attention to detail and accuracy. The supervisor will provide assistance to their team as needed or directed, and is responsible for making sure the areas of coverage are maintained at a high level with routine inspection and active feedback from the environmental services coworkers and coordinates with the Director of Environmental Services as needed for coworker growth and development. The Supervisor is responsible for team management across their area of responsibility as well as working in partnership with other Mercy leaders in promoting Mercy Quality Care and Service for our patients, visitiors and coworkers.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: Supervision of work groups of 10-30 people in an unskilled labor environment.Previous Housekeeping experience not required but is preferred
  • Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Other: Accountable and perform independently. Ability to perform all environmental services duties and projects. Keep records and documentation, explain attendance, conserve resources, monitor and supervise a work team, schedule staff, and gain new skills. Communicates orally and in writing in effective, appropriate manner. Annual Rapid Regulatory Compliance, Stericycle's DOT Training. Must be able to move around the facility for extended periods of time. Able to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time.
