Job Summary:The Registered Nurse (RN) provides exceptional, compassionate patient care within a dynamic healthcare environment. Utilizing the nursing process, the RN assesses patient needs, develops individualized care plans, implements interventions, and evaluates outcomes. Your dedication, compassion, and clinical expertise will be essential in providing exceptional care and contributing to a positive and supportive healthcare environment.Education:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.Experience:One to two years of experience as a Lactation Consultant/Specialist is preferred.Certifications:International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification must be acquired within 12 months of hire and maintained.Knowledge and Skills:Strong clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to develop effective nursing care plans.Ability to provide a wide range of professional nursing services.Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.Licenses:Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.Personal Qualities:Self-direction and commitment to teamwork.Flexibility and openness to new learning experiences.Respect for diversity and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.Physical Demands and Working Conditions:Work in a healthcare setting with potential exposure to communicable diseases.Frequent walking, bending, and lifting are required to perform job duties.By meeting these qualifications, you will be well-prepared to excel in the role of Registered Nurse and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care, specifically in the area of lactation consultation.
