The Opportunity at Altana
As the Graph Product Manager you will be responsible for building and delivering a living data asset that describes the global physical economy, powers downstream AI, and supports the extensibility of use cases on the Altana Atlas platform across national security, trade compliance, business resiliency, carbon accounting, financial services underwriting, and more.
You will own a strategic roadmap of data acquisition and origination, overseeing data partnerships. At the same time, you will drive the strategy and execution of derived data learnings from first-party customer data across our federated data and AI platform.
You will collaborate with a world-class team of engineers, design, research, data science, and implementation teams to develop and execute the knowledge graph roadmap. As a senior member of the team, this role will provide an incredible opportunity to interface with the founders, executives, and go-to-market teams to interact with our customers and evangelize our product vision and roadmap.
You Will
Manage the product strategy and roadmap for Altana’s knowledge graph to meet customer needs and to lay the foundations of a competitively differentiated graph in anticipation of future evolutions.
Interface with application teams and with customer teams in order to deeply understand data product needs across our target customer segments: customs agencies, logistics providers, F500 enterprises, and defense and intelligence agencies.
Build and manage a team to oversee data ontologies, data partnership business development and relationship management, and data origination.
Set data quality, coverage, and reliability standards to meet customer needs across the platform.
Partner with data science, data operations, engineering, and application product managers to design knowledge graph enrichments and data quality improvements through operations on customer data and user actions across the platform.
Become the go-to expert for the future of knowledge graphs in the context of global supply chains and physical commerce.
Work closely with our commercial and product marketing teams to build our graph product value propositions and go-to-market plans; build a deep understanding of our market trends, partner ecosystem, and competitive landscape.
You Have
10+ years of product management and/or data product experience in a hedge fund, data business, or technology company, with a strong preference for experience in a fast-growth startup environment.
Deep experience with data-based platforms, and an understanding of modern data infrastructures.
Fluency across macroeconomics and a range of business domains that cover the world’s physical economy.
Outcome-driven approach towards product management with a strong sense of taking ownership and accountability for outcomes.
Operate with urgency, attention to detail, and an ownership mindset.
An entrepreneurial orientation toward unlocking new value while servicing the existing business at a world-class level.
Excellent communication skills to clearly and concisely communicate complex topics to diverse stakeholders (engineers, customers, etc.) in written and verbal form.
A data-driven approach to decision-making with a keen sense of a true Northstar.
This role is remote, based in the United States, with the option to work from one of our hubs in New York City, Boston, or Washington D.C.
