Position Details:

Location: Rochester, NY

Hours: 6am-2:30pm, Mon-Fri (some overtime possible)

Pay: $17-19/hr, depending on experience

Duration: One year contract position with a possibility of being temp to hire.

Who We're Looking For:

Candidates with the ability to build noncomplex optical / electrical / mechanical sub-assemblies within quality requirements. This person should be reliable and detail oriented.

What to Expect as a Mechanical Assembler:

Follow standard work processes as provided

Assemble pre-fabricated parts / pieces from a stocked work cart

Accurately record data

Provide input or feedback during team discussions

Engage with team members and work effectively with others

Comply with all company policies & regulations

Qualifications for Success:

HS Diploma or GED/HSE or 1+ years of Manufacturing/Assembly experience

Electrical or Mechanical Assembly experience preferred

Familiarity with small hand tools

Decision making and problem-solving skills

Be organized and have excellent attention to detail

Knowledge of safety, lean manufacturing and process improvement is helpful

Basic computer skills
