Job Summary

After on-site training this position has the potential to work a hybrid schedule (a combination of days working from home and days in the office at a company facility/site depending on project needs).

Office Location: Teledyne FLIR in Wilsonville, OR (preferred) or Teledyne FLIR in Orlando, FL

Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop platform stabilization algorithms.

Integrate and validate algorithms on hardware.

Lead multi-disciplinary design efforts and reviews.

Perform data processing, optimization and model-based design using MATLAB and Python toolchains.

Job Qualifications:

B.S. in relevant engineering discipline (such as Aeronautical, Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical) required.

M.S. or PhD in relevant engineering discipline (such as Aeronautical, Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical) preferred.

5+ years of experience designing high performance control systems required; platform stabilization control systems preferred.

Solid experience in selecting of inertial sensors including gyroscopes, accelerometers and IMUs required.

Solid experience with classical dynamics required.

Solid experience with linear control systems design and optimization required.

Solid experience with servo-elastic interactions and mitigation required.

Solid Experience in selecting/custom design of direct current motors required.

Solid Experience with digital signal processing required.

Experience with embedded programming language, C++ development preferred

Able and willing to travel once every 1-2 months domestically to other Teledyne FLIR sites.
